Some of your garments, furnishings and furniture end up getting stained by your make up products as you sometimes apply them in a hurry and spread them all over the room. You will need a complete makeover to remove these stains. In order to remove these stains completely and with a lot of ease, follow these steps and you will see good results.
The first step in removing the makeup stains is to look and discovered the material that is stained by the makeup. Some of the materials that can be stained include:
Non-washable fibers which can include: wool, synthetic carpet, fiberglass, acetate etc.
Washable fibers which include items such: as cotton, wool, linen, polyester, nylon acrylic fabric, etc.
Hard surfaces which include ceramic, glass, stainless steel, vinyl wall covering ivory, vinyl tiles etc.
Leather and wood.
Stone surfaces which include items such as limestone, sandstone, terrazzo, bluestone among others.
In cleaning non –washable fibbers the next step is to brush the fiber using a stiff brush to eradicate dried stains and stain spots. Care should be taken to avoid spreading the stain.
The next step is to flush which is a process of loosening stains in the material by applying stains removers. This is done using solvent for dry-cleaning which include such products as Afta cleaning fluid.
The next step is applying a dry spotter to the area stained by the makeup and then covering the area using an absorbent pad which has been dampened using dry spotter.
Then you should check the stain after five minutes are over. In changing the pads, you should press hard in the stained area before you change pads. Repeat the process of changing the pads by soaking and pressing the pad until there is no more stain that is being removed.
Then you should flush the area using any solvents f or dry-cleaning and then allow the area to dry.
In case there is any stain remaining, use water to flush and then apply a few amount of wet spotter having a few drops of ammonia .However ammonia should not be used on silk and wool.
Then cover the stained area with a pad which is absorbent and dampened using wet spotter. Let the pad stay as long as stains are being removed. Flushing well with a lot of water should be observed .Repeat the process until all stains are removed and allow it to dry.
